British Gas Great North Swim nears entry limit - Two mile and half mile waves now full

Over 7,000 swimmers have already entered the 2012 British Gas Great North Swim, which will be held from 22-24 June at Lake Windermere in the Lake District. Nova International, organisers of the event - which saw 10,000 swimmers take part over two days in 2011 - have announced that the 2012 two mile and half mile waves have now reached full capacity. Swimmers can still enter to take part in the popular one mile distance.
